Manchester-based label Clints is continuing to experiment with footwear design and shows no signs of an innovation halt. The brand has constantly delivered fresh products that differ from current UK offerings, including the Stepper, Stomper boot, and more.
Clints’ TRL 2.0 is the brand’s most notable pair and takes inspiration from classic trek footwear. Clints recently unveiled France and Japan-inspired designs and highlights Canada for its latest drop.
Dubbed the TRL 2.0 “Raptors,” the chunky model is embraced by the basketball team’s original purple uniform hues. Although the color scheme was abandoned in 2014, Clints honors its legacy with this release. Fibre textured fabrics dominate the uppers with faded black underlays, complemented by dark suede cages and leather perimeters.
Purple suede accents hit the toe boxes, rears, and upper eyelets, while spotted laces receive clear accessories and a model-specific key chain. Clints’ trail sole completes the design with purple grip detailing.
